How do I book a ride on Rideey?
Open the app, enter your pickup and drop-off locations, and browse available group rides. You can join an existing ride or create a new one. Once confirmed, meet your group at the pickup point and enjoy a shared ride.
Is Rideey free to use?
Yes! Rideey is free to get started with—each month, you'll receive 20 credits at no cost. Once you've used up your monthly credits, additional bookings will cost 10 credits each.
How do I split the fare with other passengers?
The total fare displayed in the app is only an estimate and may vary based on the actual ride cost. Payments must be made manually among passengers, and riders can settle their share using cash or other agreed payment methods—RCredit cannot be used for fare splitting.
Can I choose the ride service I use?
Yes! While Rideey operates independently, you can still choose to book a ride through Grab, metered taxis, or other ride-hailing services. However, you’ll need to book your ride separately using the respective ride-hailing app. Rideey helps coordinate the group ride and fare splitting but does not handle the actual booking or payment.
Can I schedule a ride in advance?
Yes! Rideey lets you schedule a ride ahead of time so you can secure a spot, especially during rush hours.
What happens if no one joins my ride?
If no other passengers join, you can wait for more riders or adjust your ride settings. You also have the option to cancel the booking, and your RCredit will be refunded.
Can I cancel my ride after booking?
Yes, but frequent cancellations may affect your ability to join rides in the future. Your RCredit will be refunded after cancellation.
Is there a rating system for passengers?
Yes! Rideey allows passengers to rate each other, ensuring a respectful and comfortable ride experience for everyone.
How does Rideey ensure safety for users?
Rideey verifies all users and provides ride details, including co-passenger profiles and ratings. In-app support and emergency contact features are also available for added security.
Is Rideey for private car owners?
No, Rideey is not for private car owners. It is a carpooling coordination app designed for passengers to share rides using Grab, metered taxis, or other ride-hailing services. Rideey helps users organize group rides and split fares manually, but it does not provide a platform for private drivers to offer rides.
